Short Information: JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the detailed advertisement (Notification No. 15 of 2025) for the direct recruitment of Constable (Telecommunication) and Constable (Photographer) in the J&K Police (Home Department). A total of 182 vacancies have been announced under the UT Cadre. Eligible candidates can apply online from 01 February 2026 to 02 March 2026.
This recruitment is a golden opportunity for 10+2 (Science) Pass candidates who are Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Selection Process, Syllabus & NCC Bonus
The selection for the post of Constable (Telecommunication & Photographer) will be made on the basis of the following stages:

- The exam will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only.
- The questions will be set in English Language only.1. Written Examination:
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks (1/4th) for each wrong answer.
- Syllabus: The detailed syllabus will be notified separately on the JKSSB official website.
- 2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates equal to 6 times the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted from the written exam for PST. This is qualifying in nature.
- 3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Only those who qualify PST will undergo PET. This is also qualifying in nature.
- 4. Medical Examination: Final selected candidates will undergo medical fitness verification.
NCC Certificate Bonus Marks:
Candidates possessing NCC Certificates shall be awarded bonus marks added to the written score as follows:

- 🏆 NCC “C” Certificate: 5% of Maximum Marks
- 🏆 NCC “B” Certificate: 3% of Maximum Marks
- 🏆 NCC “A” Certificate: 2% of Maximum Marks
